Dept. of Commerce amends determination in HFC-134a antidumping case

ahgaThe Department of Commerce has announced an amendment to its preliminary determination in the HFC-134a antidumping case, modifying the duty rates from 127-189% to a flat rate of 232.3%. The new duty rate will be applied retroactively.

The case alleged that HFC-134a imported from China was “being traded at less than fair market value,” according to a Chemours press release.

A “ministerial error” in the original preliminary determination, published October 7, is cited as the reason in the new preliminary determination as the reason for this change.
