Millennials want better efficiency but aren’t ready to pay for it yet

A survey conducted by The National Association of Home Builders found that 84% of millennials say they would prefer a highly energy efficient home with lower utility bills, and would be willing to pay about 2 to 3% more for it.

However, millennials have also been found to be very price-conscious, with cost having the greatest influence on their purchasing decisions, according to research conducted by Blackhawk Engagement Solutions. This means that while 18 to 34 year olds want efficient HVAC systems, they are often not yet willing or able to pay for it.
