Chemours refrigerant generates up to 9% energy savings for supermarket chain
September 13, 2016
In 2010, a major British supermarket chain called Waitrose published its Carbon Plan, which documented the company’s long-term plan to reduce its stores’ carbon emissions. A key part of this plan was to change refrigerants.
Waitrose switched to low GWP (Global Warming Potential) Opteon™ XP40 refrigerant, with the full support of Chemours, in one of its stores in Devon. The store experienced energy savings of up to 9%.
More success is sure to come as Waitrose continues to move forward with its Carbon Plan.
